They've taken over and I think they're trying to break me. Between late night wake ups (Amelia), puking in our bed (Teddy), breaking the coffee table (Teddy), and trying to crawl up the stairs (Amelia) they are wearing me out. Amelia is also trying to crawl into Teddy's crate and Teddy is trying to stay away from Amelia while she's pulling her fur, but won't stop getting close to lick her face. Basically it's what I imagined WWF was like in the 80's. We will be getting a pen to keep Amelia in soon, so I'll see what I can do about it being a steel cage. If they don't knock it off soon I see this in their future.
They may look sweet but it's all an act to get more food and treats.
Amelia and I are off to San Diego tomorrow to meet Matt there for a family wedding. He's been in San Francisco this week, so it didn't make any sense for him to come back just to fly right back out. Wish us luck and a sleepy baby for the whole flight.

Fun Weekend, but Without the Camera
For the record this time we did remember to bring the camera with us for most of the weekend, but with all the commotion we decided it would be best to not try and break out a camera.
Saturday morning started out with a trip to the grocery store. Amelia generally enjoys this and tries to "liberate" items from our cart. Thankfully she's not quite strong enough to lift the jam out of the cart, otherwise it would have been a bad scene.
Saturday afternoon we went to a party at a friends house. There were numerous little ones there, but Amelia has a special place in the heart for the host's son. On numerous occasions they have had to be pulled off each other for grabbing handfuls of diaper bum, trying to grab each other in the face, or trying to chew on the other feet of the other one. This time they were sitting up facing each other when they both grabbed the other on the cheeks and started kissing. We are so not ready for this. Thankfully for the rest of the party they were willing to just play around each other, but Amelia did manage to steal a wooden spoon from him. She's got lightening fast reflexes. They also have a dog, and Amelia spent a good five minutes starting at it trying to figure out why it wasn't Teddy. Then the cat came along and she was totally uninterested.
On Sunday we went to a block party on our street and then went to watch the annual Halloween parade in out neighborhood. Amelia played in the grass and ate a minimal amount of leaves. We got to meet some of our neighbors we haven't met before, including two more pregnant ladies which will bring the total number of children under the age of six on our block to at least 12. Half of those are under a year. After a brief nap, we walked down to watch the parade and see everyone in costume. Amelia was unimpressed as if she sees these kinds of outfits on a regular occasion. Matt and I were very impressed with some of the effort that went into the costumes (there are prizes for best dressed kid, dog and stroller) and ladybugs, princesses, Buzz Lightyears, and tigers were very popular this year. On the walk home we even ran into my cousin and his girlfriend who were out for brunch and has been amused by the parade of costumes by the restaurant.
After dinner and crawling some laps around the basement Amelia passed out and went to bed early. She stayed in bed till 7 this morning, so I think we fully wore her out this weekend, even if she never got to the swings.

6 Month Appointment
I had to go away for work this week and Matt had his first solo parenting days for four straight days. He did a great job, especially since I accidentally scheduled her 6 month appointment for while I was away. Here are here stats.
Length - 27 3/4 inches (97%)
Weight - 17 pounds, 12 ounces (80%)
I think that Cat and I are pretty even. Based on our "winnings" from Vegas I owe her $0.50.
We think she has big plans for the next six months.

Happy Six Month Birthday!
It's hard to believe that it's been six months since this little girl came into our lives.
(This photo is our sneak peek from a shoot with Angelina Photography and I cannot recommend Steph enough. It was great to work with her and I can't wait to see the rest.)
Happy half birthday baby girl. We love you so much and are so thankful to have you in our lives.

Vote for Amelia!!
So everyone knows that I am a sucker for the Gap. I try to love them even when they do a season where nothing looks good on me.
Now they're doing a casting call for babies. Vote for Amelia!
You can (and please do) vote every day between now and November 14. There are already some people with 15,000 votes so we've got quite a ways to go. The actual selection of the winner of the contest will be by a panel of judges, but there's also the fan favorite award.
While you're voting please also vote for Esme and Margaux, children of our friends.
