Bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

Amelia's adventures in solid foods are going well. So far her favorite is bananas.
We got her a high chair to sit in and she loves it. She can hang out in the dining room while we're in the kitchen making breakfast or dinner.
She's still figuring out that the food comes off the tray, the tray isn't the food.
We're working on it. At least if she licks off the bananas the less I have to clean off.

We let her hold the spoon at the end to work on her coordination.
Apparently she likes to pretend she's smoking a cigar.
She likes to chew on the spoon. And she's gagging herself a little less every time.
Or not.

4 Month Appointment

Amelia had her 4 month appointment this morning. Aside from trying to eat the paper on the examining table, she did very well and the doctor thinks she's doing great. We tend to agree. Here are her stats.

Length: 26 1/3 inches (97%)
Weight: 15 pounds, 8 ounces (90%)
Head Circumference: 42.2 cm (88%)

That's almost the exact same percentiles she was in at 2 months, so I'm going on record right now to estimate 18 pounds and 27 3/4 inches at 6 months.

Suspiciously Close to Crawling

Here's Amelia on the move. She's such a cutie.

Best Friends

Amelia and Teddy are BFFs. They like to hang out, give each other kisses, and play on the floor.
Teddy likes to sniff Amelia and Amelia likes to pull on Teddy's fur.
They don't listen to me when I tell them to stop licking each other.
Sometimes Amelia isn't that into it.
But they still love each other.

It's Never Too Early

Hmmm, now that I'm four months old it's time to start thinking about where I want to go to college. I hear that if I study hard and get into a good preschool that will help me.

Maybe I should study about the school of my choice.

Yes, this looks good. I hear the humidity in Palo Alto isn't what it is in DC.

Maybe if I show them I can change the pages with my feet I'll get an athletic scholarship. Mommy and Daddy would like that.

I wonder if I can suck the knowledge out of the book.
