Due Date
And shockingly enough, our child is being stubborn. Even though I've had a number of contractions over the weekend I'm still not dialated at all. I've got an appointment for a non-stress test this Thursday to make sure everything's going fine (standard for going over your due date) and then I'm scheduled to be induced on the 7th. I have my fingers crossed that I'm one of those women who go from nothing to 3 cm dialated in a couple of hours and I'll be in labor later today or tomorrow.

Get Out
Seriously, this is getting painful. And we have a place for you to sleep once you decide to come out. She decided to try and push her foot out via my belly button while Matt was taking these pictures.
The glider for feeding and her collection of books and toys.
Crib and the blanket that will be hanging above the crib as soon as we figure out the best way to do that.
The all important changing table and dresser. We've put up some decals we found with the ocean theme, but we're still looking for some other art work.
5 days of work left and 8 days till the due date. Please come out baby girl. We are very excited to meet you.

End Date
At my appointment yesterday the doctor scheduled an induction in case I don't go into labor on my own. I tried to get them to schedule it for a day or two after my due date, but no dice. April 7th I'm scheduled to be induced. 41 weeks and 2 days or 3 weeks from today. I've been trying to convince the baby that she doesn't want to stay in that long, but I'm not holding my breath. She still hasn't moved down, to the point that a nurse taking her heart beat asked if she was breech because her heart beat was so far up. Not breech, just taking her sweet time.
My father is scheduled to be in town for a few days around my due date. I would appreciate it if she arrived before then so I don't have to spend those days repeatedly telling my father he's not allowed to try and induce me on his own. But, if the baby's anything like her mother she'll enjoy aggravating my father for sport so she'll probably arrive the day after he leaves. Our mothers are both scheduled to come after the induction date, so they'll definitely get to meet her.
For the most part I'm still doing ok. I have the normal 85 months pregnant complaints - not sleeping, my back hurts, and I had no idea I could pee this much. This weekend I decided to add a lovely set of bruises to my complaints. I slipped on our front steps (falling down stairs is a talent of mine) and ended up with matching elbow bruises and a "spectacular" bruise on my rear end. The doctor was very impressed with it. I do not recommend this as a way to bring on labor as it did nothing except freak out me and Matt and send us to the hospital for monitoring. Thankfully everything is fine but I certainly freaked out for awhile.

Almost There!
At least that's what I keep telling myself. 37 weeks and 1 day done. The nursery is now painted and we set up the crib last night. By "we" I mean Matt, with me looking on and offering to hold screws and bolts. I totally cried after the crib was set up. I also cried while folding some of her laundry this weekend. I'm just so excited at this point that I can't wait to meet her. Oh, and the hormones.
While I thought we had everything we needed for her arrival, my sister sent me the link to this yesterday. Lullaby versions of Queen, Metallica, and Guns N' Roses? Yes please. Lullaby versions of Journey? I think that's required for no other reason than it's ridiculously awesome.
